Battersea dogs took centre stage at a star-studded charity gala event last week
You might have already guessed, but WE LOVE DOGS! They’re more than welcome in our shops and work alongside us at Casa del White Stuff, our head office. Well, they take care of the important chewing/gnawing/looking cuddly side of things and we do the rest. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home recently hosted a ‘Collars and Coats’ gala ball and we’d like to take this Friday to celebrate the cuteness!
A host of celebrities from stage, screen, sport, fiction and fashion sashayed down the red carpet with their four-legged friends. The star-studded charity bash welcomed Battersea Ambassador and international supermodel David Gandy, popular author Dame Jacqueline Wilson OBE, football legend Gary Lineker with his wife Danielle and dance aficionados Craig Revel Horwood and Arlene Philips. They walked the red carpet to support in support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s work to rescue and re-home abandoned dogs and cats. Even doggy star Pudsley cleared his calendar for the event, along with his plus-one (and owner) Ashleigh Butler.
The guests were welcomed by the legendary and unique Battersea dog ‘Guard of Honour’, as around 50 of the charity’s dogs in need of new homes lined the way.
