By now, you will have probably heard about our Made for Change bags. They're made from recycled White Stuff fabrics and their sales go towards education scholarships for children in India. There are 10 different prints to collect, they’re a fab alternative to the naughty plastic ones you get in the supermarket and they make nice pressies too!
So far, we have raised £24,955 which makes 116 scholarships.
We ran the project earlier in 2012 with our 'Live to Give' bags and we were really delighted to receive some letters from three of our 2012 scholarship children; Blessy George, Rizwana and Naresh.
Elissa, our Head of Technical and Ethical Sourcing, said; "It was lovely to hear from the children and see what a difference we can make to their lives. Without the sales of our charity bags, these kids would not have had the opportunity to go to school and further their education.
We really hope we will be able to beat last year's total and raise enough money for at least 165 scholarships this year. The kids in India are so excited and working hard to achieve good grades so they can apply for this year’s scholarship program too."
