WS Local

This season we're celebrating all things new, and that includes our Guildford shop, just up
the road from our old place. We've given ourselves a sneaky makeover so come for a
look-see, and try out some of our favourite spots in this arty and historic town.

Ghoulishly Guildford

Cursed churches, mysterious grey-clad women, phantom dogs - discover them all on a Ghost Tour of Guildford. The tour lasts around 1¾ hours and covers around 20 mysterious sites, running every Friday night from Good Friday to the end of November.

High upon a hill

The partly restored Norman keep that is Guildford Castle is open between March and October (perfect timing for Spring). Why not explore the well-maintained grounds and take in the wonderful view of the city below? A trip to the museum will tell you all about the local history of the area, and best of all, it's FREEEEEE!

Wine not?

Greyfriars Vineyard is a jewel in Guildford's crown. Welcome Spring with a sip or two of sparkling rose, in our favourite Provencal style. Or snap up a cheeky Pinot Gris, in all its crisp pear and honeyed loveliness. Do take a look at their website for a sneak peek at the Vineyard's upcoming events.

Farmers' delight

Could this be the prettiest farmers' market in Britain? Taking place on the City's famous cobbled High Street, against a backdrop of rolling green hills, we think it just might be. And the produce isn't half bad either - with delicious meats, cheeses, baked goods and preserves topping our must-have list. The market takes place on the first Tuesday of every month, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Glutton and Glee

We'd advise a visit on the basis of the name alone, but this little coffee shop in one of Guildford's oldest streets is worth a visit for its atmosphere and coffee too. Using only the best (Allpress) beans, they brew a rich and full-flavoured cuppa. The perfect accompaniment to sweet treats, baked by a local lady in Farnham. What more could a weary shopper ask for?

Our shop

Guildford has been the happy home to White Stuff since 2012 but now our new Guildford shop is bigger and better than ever. Put your feet up at our new tea bar, forage for seasoning at our community herb garden, or take a trip down the rabbit hole with our Alice In Wonderland playhouse - it's time to pay our new shop a visit.

Pop in and visit us at: 228 High Street, City Centre, Guildford, Surrey GU1 3JD
