A bit of dodgy weather's no excuse to stay inside. Some of our customer's favourite beaches are truly awe inspiring on a blustery old day. Here are six spots they love to get wild and windswept.

At the Southern-most tip of Britain lies this little gem - and plenty more like it. The well-trodden track around Lizard Point takes in dramatic scenery, rare wildflowers and interesting history. No wonder it's Joe's happy place.

If this picture doesn't make you want to explore the Great Outdoors, nothing will. Why not walk the 2.3 mile coastal path to Seatown and wash down all that fresh air with a pint in the pub on the beach, before heading home.

A beautiful slice of paradise, Widemouth Bay is a haven for surfers and nature-lovers alike. While it looks at first glance like one big beach, it's actually divided in two by a natural barrier of rock.

Here's one place you can get away from it all. At high tide there's just a small sandy bay, but low tide reveals vast stretches of white sand, ready and waiting for your explorations. There's also a coastal path that hugs the cliffs, so you can get your fix of stunning scenery, whatever the tide's doing.

Ok, so we're not suggesting you go here for a day trip (unless you live in the Outer Hebrides) but if you're looking for tranquillity and truly breath-taking scenery, your search is over. Walk around the area to discover more bays and beaches, explore rock pools and indulge in fresh air overload.

At only 1.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide, exploring Bryher Island is pure joy. There's a hotel, guest houses, self-catering cottages and a campsite to lay your weary head. And there's a café and a bar to feed your hungry face. Perfection!
