On the hunt for some great ways to occupy bored little ones this half term?
We've got just the thing... our favourite spots to try out for the whole family.
Whether you and your clan are old hats on the slopes or strapping on skis for the first time, there's something for everyone at the Snow Centre and it's a damn sight cheaper way of getting a feel for the white stuff than a week away in the Alps. Best enjoyed with some hot chocolate once you get home!
Get intergalactic and blast off on a journey with Tim Peake through the ISS Launch Experience and learn about his mission in space. And from 11th – 19th February 'Gastro Space' is a bumper half-term period dedicated to bogies, bums, trumps and burps... the science of all the gross stuff our bodies do in space. Get ready for giggles.
It's World Wetlands Day on 2nd February don't you know, making the half-term the perfect time to get your brood to get out in the open. The great Puddle-Jumping Competition (held across all centres) is a must, you can see a wild swan feed (from the comfort of a well-heated hide) at Welney in Cambridgeshire, or get to know Thai, Ned, Penny, Belle and Flick – the resident otters at Martin Mere – who needs Attenborough?
London's dedicated cartoon, caricatures, comic strips and animation museum covers everything from 18th-century satire, to British comic big-hitters like The Dandy and The Beano. There's permanent and new exhibitions, plus comic and drawing workshops to get stuck into for any budding creatives. Let's get colourful!
