I have an interview coming up and
I want to make a good first
impression, but after a few years out,
I haven't got anything suitable to
wear. I'm 40 years old, 5" and a
size 12 - help!

Our brand new 'Mid Century
Monochrome' collection offers a great
range of bold colours, smart shapes
and cleaner, more textural pieces. For
a smarter look, pick a dress which
falls just below the knee and keep it
fun with a quirky pattern or statement
colour. To flatter your shape, choose a
jacket with a fitted shape such as this
stylish woven style which nips in
slightly at the waist. A pair of heeled
boots will elongate a shorter frame
and add keep you looking chic even in
the unpredictable spring weather!
Don't overdo it with accessories; add a
touch of glam with a subtle silver

I like the idea of a gilet, but have
absolutely no idea how to wear one.
Please could you give me some

The gilet is not just for the dog walk!
Teamed with the right thing, this
staple piece can be both practical and
stylish. Made from a lightweight
material, our Tansy Gilet has a handy
detachable hood to make it extra
versatile. It's all about layering this
time of year; wear a basic tee under
colourful knit for effortless chic. Keep
your bottom half minimal with a pair
of comfortable straight leg jeans and
finish off with a casual pair of
lace ups.

I like wearing chinos to work and at the
weekend, but I'm worried they may look a
bit old fashioned. Are chinos still cool?

With chinos, it's all about how you wear
them. For both work and casual wear, try
a versatile chino such as our
Newfoundland style. There are five
wearable colours and different lengths;
the funky belt brings a modern edge but
can be swapped with a smarter, leather
belt on work days. All our chinos have a
casual laundered look and are loose-fitting
for comfort. If you want more of a tailored
look, try a slim-legged chino or trouser;
the Foreman and Microcheck trousers
are great. Try and avoid wearing chinos
with loose T-shirts as this can look scruffy;
keep it smart with a shirt and stylish knit
or a fitted polo for the weekends.
