I'm expecting my first baby and
have no experience of maternity wear.
Can you recommend some good looks
so I can still look stylish, and trendy.
I love the vintage look and want to wear
more adventurous clothes, instead of plain
T-shirts and leggings. Thanks, Gillian Fford
You can''t go wrong with (1) a great empire line cut
(2) a comfy jersey tunic (3) a loose-fitting knit
perfect ways to stay warm without overheating
during an autumn/winter pregnancy. With our
lovely new seasonal prints, you can keep your shape
simple, but be adventurous with pattern and colour.
You can also experiment with new jewellery
(4) a statement necklace will instantly update any
outfit and give you an instant lift. You''ll be the most
yummy mummy around!
I'm stuck in a rut of bootleg jeans and fleeces,
please help! I quite often meet friends for a
dog walk followed by a pub lunch, but always
seem to wear the same outfit. Can you
suggest something stylish but warm and
practical for dog walking, that MUST go with
wellies. Thanks, Bethanie Sawczak (and Billy the dog)
Layers will keep your look practical but
stylish. Start with (1) a vest, add (2) a tee
and (3) a gilet (faux fur ones are on-trend
and cosy to boot! (4) a slim-fitting pair of
jeans will easily tuck into your wellies.
I would love some advice for ladies of
a petite and curvy nature! So often you
see advice tailored to one or the other
but rarely for both. I am 52 and a size
16 in White Stuff. I have a hard time
finding dresses, skirts and trousers
that are the right length.Which styles
Many thanks, Bethany Dakin
An instant way of looking taller and slimmer is
to (1) wear a dark colour from head to toe.
If you opt for a navy skirt, for example, make sure
your tights and shoes are navy too (2) a simple,
great-fitting jacket will see you through many events
(3) wrap-style dresses are fab for curvier ladies,
just make sure it isn''t too long. Although it can be a
pain, it''s well worth taking ill-fitting items for
alteration; clothes that fit well look better and you''ll
feel instantly happier.
