Friday 10th October- Sunday 12th- Wool Gathering

The Kendal Wool Gathering mixes demonstrations, fun activities and displays, all connected to the cloth on which the towns wealth was built. There will be displays and demonstrations. There will also be livestock, and a guided wool walk will take in sites in the town where the wool trade flourished.

Friday 17th -Sunday 19th October- The Lakes International Comic Art Festival

A new festival celebrating the diversity of the comic art form, from cartoons to comics, super-heros to manga and graphic novels and sequential art. The festival includes comic artists and graphic novelists from around the world, who will descend on Kendal.

Saturday 4th October- Ceilidh

The Bendrigg trust are holding their annual Ceilidh, featuring the Macaroons. There will be a Chilli supper and a silent auction. All proceeds go the Bendrigg Trust.

Our Activities

Friday 10th -Sunday 12th October- Wool Gathering

Come and join us in store for some woolly activities for children and adults young at heart. Hunt for the sheep and take your very own sheep home with you.

Saturday 25th October- A Halloween Raffle

We have a local baker who will be in store all day selling her lovely cup cakes and raffling off a beautiful Halloween cake. All proceeds raised on the day will go to the Bendrigg Trust

Top of the Pots!

Our 'Top of the Pots' competition invites you to test your culinary skills and share your best recipes to find the UK's best local jams to raise money for The White Stuff Foundation. For every entry received either online or in our shops on 9th October, we’ll donate £10* to your local shop’s charity.

About Bendrigg Trust
Bendrigg Trust is a residential, outdoor education centre based in Old Hutton near Kendal. Working specifically with groups of disabled and disadvantaged young people, the charity promotes independence, encourages inclusion and builds self-confidence through the provision of activity courses, holidays and day trips.

Bendrigg Trust runs courses for over 3,000 disabled and disadvantaged young people every year. The charity brings out hidden potential in young people through their involvement in a wide range of adventurous activities they never thought possible, due to disability or social disadvantage.

How White Stuff funding is used

  • To cover the charity’s core costs, thereby enabling Bendrigg Trust to continue giving young people unforgettable and life-changing opportunities.
