Whistable Oyster Festival is a colourful summer celebration with a mix of great events to enjoy including music, parades, competitions, food and drink. Today’s celebration symbolically recreates the ‘Landing of the Oysters’. Whitstable’s Sea Scouts land the oysters, which then go on to receive a formal ‘Blessing’ before being presented to the mayor. The blessed oysters, that Whistable is famous for, are then distributed to the town’s inns, bars and restaurants via the vibrant Festival Parade. It has become the most fun filled beach-side family festival. Enjoy!
Ray Martin and Martin Farbrother together called ‘Two of a Kind’ are performing an evening of music from the ‘Kings of Swing’ and The Great American Songbook at the beautiful Whitstable Castle. Enjoy an evening out at this black tie event with friends or family sipping on a pre dinner glass of bubbly and a delicious three course meal as you listen to some great music. Tickets are £30 per head and need to be booked in advance.
