SKETCH SHIRT DRESS
This dress is made from a nice, substantial, soft feeling woven material. The colours are very nice: a dark, but not navy, blue with a medium blue drop like print, green-yellow splats and white very small animals ( rabbits?). It is true to size and reaches the top of the knee on someone 1.73m tall. It is button down and has 3/4 length fitted sleeves. It is straight cut and is a good fit, no gaping at the chest and looks ok around the tummy. It is pull over and has no belt, but you could wear a leather belt with it. It has a very high neckline with a tie. I would have preferred a lower scoop neckline which always looks better with my bigger chest and my fuller figure. But the deciding factor for the three stars was the back of the dress. It has three buttons there which pull the shape of the dress together, which works quite well for the front, but over the button the material just sticks and bulges out which is not a good look. I guess this is because of my fuller figure and it would probably not problem with slimmer women. It would probably also not happen, if the button were higher up, more in the region under the chest.

This dress is very lightweight to the extent it feels too much like wearing a nightie to wear it to work. Shirt dresses can look quite smart when tailored well and in fabric that holds some structure but this one does neither. It does hide a multitude of sins in sense that it 'billows' (you can see that on the model) and doesn't cling but I don't think it looks stylish and it is very expensive for what it is.

Love the style of this dress
I've got last year's version of this dress and love that too.
It is a really easy to wear dress and great to take on holiday for day or evening wear. I wear it with flats or flip flops but I guess you could wear heels and make it more formal.
Hope you do one next year in a different colour!
