A good dress earns its place in the wardrobe by doing more than one job. The right choice depends less on trend and more on three things: the fabric, the occasion, and the length, and getting those right makes everything else, from shoes to layering, much easier to work out.
Fabric is the natural starting point. For everyday wear, cotton dresses are breathable and easy to care for, while linen dresses suit warmer weather and a more relaxed finish. If comfort and ease of movement matter most, jersey dresses hold their shape well and pack for travel without creasing. Denim and printed styles sit somewhere between the two, offering more structure while still being practical for daily wear.
Occasion narrows things down further. A shirt dress is one of the most versatile styles we do, smart enough for work when belted, relaxed enough for weekends when worn open over a t-shirt. For weddings, parties and other events, our occasion dresses are cut with more detail and a dressier finish, while summer dresses are designed to be light, breathable and easy to pack for warm-weather breaks.
Length and fit are the final piece. Maxi dresses suit a longer, more relaxed silhouette, while midi lengths tend to work best for everyday wear and transition more easily between seasons. If standard lengths run long, our petite dresses are cut specifically to sit at the right point on a shorter frame.
