It's the season to entertain so if you are keen to shine in the kitchen here's a cracker to impress your friends.
Nepalese Steamed Momos, these delicious little mountain peaked dumplings are perfect dipped in chilli sauce, soy sauce or even Achaar pickles. You can stuff them with any meat you like but here we have a tasty vegetarian recipe.
They can be steamed or fried, it's up to you.
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 small cabbage, diced
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 1/2 large onion, minced
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 package Wonton wrappers, cut into circles
- Garnish with torn coriander, if desired
All pretty easy to find, even the Wonton Wrappers, they are great fun to make and just a little fiddly to assemble.
