Autumn

Now our long, hot summer has finally come to a close we caught up with Herefordshire based lifestyle blogger, Lauren from Hunters and Heels to see what takes her fancy for the season ahead. Here Lauren picks her favourite casual styles from our new autumn collections.

Autumn has to be the best time of year in the fashion world.

Sure, it’s sometimes sad waving goodbye to those long summer days, but that first fresh crisp morning really does feel good doesn’t it?

It’s fun finally being able to layer up, enjoy a long walk without overheating and, of course, to cleanse your wardrobe of the shorts and dresses we’ve been wearing all summer long. I love to invest in some new pieces to kick start a new season.

Casualwear is always a really important part of my wardrobe, no matter the season. I’m a work-from-home Mum, and we live pretty rurally. My day is usually made up of a dog walk through the orchards, a whizz around town, collections and drop-offs and plenty of time at home. As well as making me feel good, my clothes need to be comfortable, practical and wearable.

White Stuff have got some really beautiful casual pieces this season, so here are my favourite picks...

The Acorn Poncho

For a slightly chillier day, I’m really loving this cosy cable knit poncho. It looks lovely over a shirt, a vest or even layered over another jumper. The perfect layer to keep you toasty as the sun starts to fade.

The Serenity Shirt

100% cotton, so both cool and cosy, the perfect shirt for this transition into autumn/winter.
I’ll wear it alone with jeans or trousers or layered over a vest, under a sweater.

The Willow Trousers

I adore this take on a classic jeans style trouser, but in a soft, comfortable velvet fabric. They fit so well, really helping to give shape but still so comfortable for a long walk on a slow Sunday. I love the range of colours they come in too...perfect for autumn.

The Check Scarf

I love a cosy scarf to keep out the chill and this fabulous statement scarf, in this season’s essential check fits the bill perfectly.

The Monday Colourblock Jumper

This colour block jumper is the perfect match for the cord skirt, or even better with jeans on a cold day. It’s casual, colourful and perfectly on trend.

The Clocktower Cord Skirt

I haven’t worn a skirt like this for years, but I really like it. Worn with cosy tights and boots, this skirt brings back so many happy memories of autumns growing up.
