We love our regular models (they're fun, look great in our clothes, and they're really good at not blinking in photos). But we've been thinking we'd also like to see our clothes on people a bit more like us (different ages, different sizes, sometimes blink in photos). A bit more like the people who buy our clothes too.
So we asked those people if they'd be up for it (on Instagram, and via the chalkboards outside all our shops). And over 2,000 people said yes. But we couldn't photograph 2,000 people. So we thought long and hard, and chose these six. They were brilliant (hardly any blinking), and we'd love for you to meet them.
WENDY, AGE 71
This is Wendy. She’s a retired lecturer and occasional ballerina. Her two dogs are both rescues and one and a half of them are house trained (we won’t say who’s the half). She used to be a hippy in the 60s and she’s still a free spirit at heart. She’s a volunteer room guide for the National Trust (ask her anything about Ickworth House). And she’d steal Judi Dench’s wardrobe if she could (same). She’s wearing our Lucy EcoVero midi dress and Connie boot.

AMIKA, AGE 30
This is Amika. She’s a presenter, radio host and DJ. She runs children's parties and looks after artists at a record label. So it’s kids and rappers mostly. And Haribo (they’re her lifelong obsession). She naps everywhere, all over London (we would too, if we did all that). And she's got a collection of 392 door stops (sure). Her style changes every day (though '90s Clueless' most sums it up). And she's picked up a few tips from her granny, Sylvia, who recently modelled for White Stuff and bossed it.

This is Rebecca. When she’s not modelling (this is her first time), she’s looking after her mum and her family. And the cat Sponge, who’s a bit of a diva. And was a street cat and is missing part of an ear. Rebecca’s got grown-up twin daughters and her dad was an identical twin too. The only thing distinguishing him and his brother was one had bigger ear lobes. She worked abroad a lot and now is most in her element making other people happy. Maybe not Kate Moss though. Rebecca would steal her closet if she could.

This is Trudi. She’s from Southend, where she’s lived her whole life, and she’s a hands-on grandma to her two grandkids. Not forgetting little chihuahua Alfie. Her family would describe her as not the sensible-est of people. She once called two fire engines because she could hear a noise and thought it was the gas pipes in the kitchen. (Turned out it was just her hand whisk going off in a drawer.) But she loves to laugh and act silly with the kiddies. She’s not a fan of rom-coms (but would have Billy Connolly for a dinner party) and she likes looking different to everyone else. Especially with her shoes. She likes quirky shoes. (Just not today.)

This is Tim. He’s a former accountant, now part stay-at-home dad and part DJ at Infernos in Clapham. He’s got a collection of 6,000 records in every genre and he’s converted the garage into a sort of man cave for them. He’s a volunteer maths tutor and might like to train as a teacher. Not right now though. At the moment he’s never lying in past 6am, thanks to his three beautiful (but keeps-him-busy) little ones. He does want to sort out those records though.

This is Toni. She’s a mum of three lovely kids. And a dog, cat and chickens’ mum. (Bluebell and Buttercup are the chickens.) She lives down a quiet, one-car-width lane in a village in Suffolk, and can see the trees of her parents’ house from her driveway. She likes making things. Like weaving baskets, carving spoons, crochet. She recently wove fence panels using her neighbour’s hazel tree to hide her plastic water butts. And she’ll talk to anyone. She talks for England, she says. Ask her the name of anyone’s dog in the area, and she’ll tell you. (The people’s names? Not so much.)
