How long have you
I started out as a graphic designer and illustrator about ten years ago. However, it’s the last four years that I started to focus on surface pattern design and it’s become my favourite direction.SHOP JESSICA NIELSEN
How do you feel about collaborating with
White Stuff on this collection?
I love it! It’s the debut of my patterns being used in womenswear, which I’m very excited about.
How would you
describe your signature
style and what inspired
your print designs for
I’d say my signature style is made up of bold, bright coloured patterns and graphic botanical subjects with strong shapes.
Most of my work is inspired by nature. These prints were inspired by light, foliage and fresh flowers that are just starting to bloom in spring.
What’s your design process?
I usually start a design on my iPad and draw fluid lines and shapes with an Apple pencil. I then send the files to my computer and clean them up. Sketching on my iPad has really changed my workflow and has made it much easier and quicker for me to make new designs.
What do you think
of the collection?
It looks very fresh and sophisticated, you can feel that spring is in the air. I love the synergy and perfect match of the bold patterns and the simplicity of the cuts. All the pieces really stand out and I can’t wait to see women wearing these powerful prints.SHOP LINEAR LEAF TANKINI
What is your favourite piece from the collection?
I love the Coachella linen tunic. You can easily imagine yourself wearing it at a summer festival and having a great time.
